Latinas Count. Make Sure the Census Counts Them. Submit a comment
The U.S. Census Bureau has proposed a rule that would ban questions on race and ethnicity from the 2030 Census and leave many immigrant community members out of the count entirely. Census data is the foundation for the surveys we use to measure the wage gap. If the data disappears, so does the proof.
The public only has until November 2, 2026 to respond and submit comments on this proposed change.
Support the Paycheck Fairness Act
In 2025, full-time working women were paid just 84 cents for every dollar paid to men. Due to intersectional discrimination and other barriers, women of color face the largest wage gaps. The Paycheck Fairness Act would close loopholes and strengthen the law to better protect workers from pay discrimination.
Support the FAMILY Act!
Urge Congress to enact the federal FAMILY Act to establish paid family and medical leave benefits. 42 states and the District of Columbia have expanded leave rights to workers in their states. It’s time to extend these protections nationwide.
Tell Congress To Support the Working Women’s Bill of Rights Resolution
Right now, our economy is set up to benefit a wealthy few instead of the 75 million women in America’s workforce who keep our country running. The Working Women’s Bill of Rights resolution, introduced by Rep. LaMonica McIver and Sen. Mazie Hirono, provides a framework to ensure working women have what they need to thrive, including paid leave, affordable childcare, equal pay, higher wages, and workplaces free from discrimination.
